Well composed images

It was time for dinner so I needed to clear the dinner table.  Moments before I was fiddling with some car parts.  Just before grabbing the bunch of tools I noticed the reflection of the tools on the table.

This in my opinion is an example of a somewhat well composed photo.  The subject is lit in the forefront and is centred in the frame with most of the object in the upper third.  It is easy to look at and it creates a welcome mood with its depth of field. However I think more light is needed in the background.

I replaced the tools with a mask, which conveys even a better compose photo. There is enough space or equal space on the sides of the mask which makes it feel unconstricted. The background colour contrast with the colours of the object so the mask becomes the focus. There are no other distracting objects in the photo and it is grounded on the table. Dinner is waiting and my family is getting annoyed so I better go. Soon I will post more examples of  well vs poorly composed images.
